There’s been such controversy over the years since book series started becoming movie series on which one is better. So let’s see which you all think is better from the top 3 book-to-movie series of the past 15 years.
First we have Harry Potter. The long lasting, best selling books that came out in 1996. Not only have the books been a success, but the movies have too hitting theaters in 2001. Daniel Radcliffe stars as Harry Potter, with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint along side of him. Although the movies don’t match the books exactly, they still stick with the storyline fairly well.
Next up we have Twilight. Stephanie Meyer wrote the 4 book series about a girl named Bella Swan who falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen. The books were extremely popular, but the movies didn’t fare as well. With Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson starring, the expectations of this adaptation were high.
Lastly, we have the Hunger Games. A trilogy concerning 16 year old Katniss Everdeen set in the future America, now called Panem. Panem is organized in districts, and once a year, the highly materialistic citizens of the Capitol organize a game with one male and one female from each district to fight to death until the last man(or woman) standing. The movie was extremely anticipated and got pretty good reviews. The movie stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
Each of these books have been on the bestseller list and each have completed their book and movie series. Everyone has their own opinion, so now it’s time to ask: which was your favorite overall? Harry Potter, Twilight, or Hunger Games? Comment below!
